Set at the side of a lake, this detached holiday lodge offers lovely accommodation on the edge of the Southern Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. It makes a wonderful retreat and is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding countryside.
Water sport enthusiasts can bring their own craft to sail, windsurf or kayak. There is also a leisure club and bar where you can slowly unwind in the heated indoor pool, gym, steam room and beauty therapy suites (at extra cost). What better way to round off the day than with a hearty bar meal or sipping a cocktail before enjoying the à la carte cuisine of the restaurant.
Also on the doorstep is the Silverdale and Arnside Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which offer a wide selection of trails to walk and cycle on.
Alternatively, sailing, horse riding and bird watching at the nearby Leighton Moss RSPB reserve are all available in the local vicinity. Carnforth railway station has been restored to its nostalgic ’Brief Encounter’ film fame. Shop 2 miles, bar and restaurant on site.
