April Cottage offers an excellent base for those wishing to explore this area of Lincolnshire which is often referred to as ‘Bomber County’ after the numerous RAF bases in WWII. Indeed it is less than 5 miles to RAF Cranwell and its Aviation Heritage Centre. Other local attractions include Cogglesford Watermill, Heckington Railway Museum and Windmill as well as nature trails and cycle routes for those wishing to explore the local countryside.
