Affording views, it stands within a superb area for walking, lying between Wensleydale’s wide basin and beautiful, rugged Upper Wharfedale. Good choice of pubs at Carlton (1 mile) and Middleham (4 miles). East Witton, for excellent restaurants, 5 miles. Leyburn, with its shops, 6 miles. Fishing on the River Ure, 1 mile. Shops 4½ miles.
