Offering some of the most spectacular coastal views of Torbay, Captains Cottage is situated in a row of properties overlooking Brixham Harbour. These cottages were originally built for the town’s fishermen, high above the harbour, where they could keep watch on their resting fishing vessels in the harbour below. From the cottage there are views right across the bay towards Paignton and Torquay. Captains Cottage is just 5 minutes from the harbour and shops, and just a short drive from many of the local beaches. The historical towns of Dartmouth and Totnes are both within a few miles, whilst the livelier seaside towns of Paignton and Torquay are also on the doorstep. Shops ¼ mile.
30 steps down to entrance. Two bedrooms, both with rugs on wooden floor; one double and one bunk. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet. First floor: Open-plan living/dining room with harbour views. Kitchen with patio doors. Open-tread stairs to second floor: Sitting room with two single futon beds (alternative sleeping only) and viewing platform.
