This holiday property is part of the historic buildings of Cerne Abbey, formed as Benedictine House in 987 AD, overlooking the abbey courtyard with large garden areas nearby. The abbey itself is privately owned, though sections of the grounds are open to the public where visitors are free to wander. Situated in Cerne Abbas, famed for its dominating chalk carving of the Cerne Giant. Set within the Dorset hills, with miles of lovely walks, including the village trail. Puddletown, Tolpuddle and Thomas Hardy’s Piddle Valley are within easy reach. Sandy beaches, Dorset’s Jurassic coastline, Salisbury, Sherborne and Dorchester are also close by. Shops, pubs and restaurant 100 yards.
