Charcoal Nook is so named because it once served an 18th century iron works that created Low Nibthwaite in the Crake Valley, 300 years ago. Today only the sound of the river remains of its past. South-facing, the Nook is part of the owners’ property and is situated at the southern end of the Lake District National Park, just under a mile from Coniston Water, and surrounded by farmland with fells above on one side and the River Crake on the other. Ideal for walking and cycling, with easy access to Lake Windermere and the attractions of the Lake District. Shop 3½ miles, pub 1 mile, restaurant 2½ miles.

All on ground floor: Living room with French doors/dining room/kitchen /screened off bedroom with 6ft double or two 3ft beds. Beams and wooden floors throughout. Step to shower room with toilet.
