Only a mile from the sea and set with its own little garden in 15 acres of grounds, enjoying wonderful glimpses of the estuary, this former coach house contains a wealth of open trusses and has been attractively furnished. A self-contained wing of the owner’s Georgian home, it is within easy walking distance of Axmouth with its thatched colour-washed cottages. The Axe estuary is a delight for bird-watchers and windsurfers with public bird hides, paths and cycle ways. Seaton (2 miles) boasts a Blue Flag beach and an electric tramway. An 18-hole golf course, tennis, a nature reserve and the Jurassic Heritage coastal path are within 1 mile. Shops 2 miles.
