Excellent towpath walks are easily accessible where brightly coloured narrow boats cruise along. Known as "The Gateway to The Dales", Skipton provides a perfect location from which to explore the National Park.
The picturesque village of Embsay (2 miles) is nearby, and offers its very own steam railway, frequently visited by Thomas the Tank Engine. The historic market town of Settle (17 miles) is within easy driving distance and provides visitors with a lovely selection of shops, pubs and restaurants.
