A delightful character terraced holiday cottage on 3 floors, with the River Crake running through the pretty shared gardens at the rear, this is an excellent base to explore southern Lakeland.

Coniston Water is 3 miles; Hawkshead, Grizedale Forest and Lake Windermere just beyond, and Ulverston is 4 miles south. Lovely sandy beaches stretch along Morecambe Bay Estuary; in the same direction are the South Lakes Wild Animal Park at Dalton or Aquarium of the Lakes at Lakeside on Windermere.

This is a walker’s paradise - whether the Old Man of Coniston, the Furness Fells or the Langdale Fells, there are stunning views to be seen from every peak.
