The countryside on the doorstep is perfect for walking, cycling and bird watching. The splendid Georgian market town of Holt is only 5 miles, with the wonderful unspoilt North Norfolk Coast just a little further. Blakeney, Morston and Stiffkey marshes are all noted for their bird watching opportunities. 14 miles away is the famous Holkman Estate with its magnificent stately home and huge unspoilt sandy beaches.

Visit Norwich with its castle, cathedral, Forum Museum and excellent theatre. The city has a large shopping centre, traditional stall market and narrow cobbled shopping streets. North Norfolk has some impressive NT properties that are well worth a visit, including Blickling Hall and Felbrigg Hall.
