With plenty of attractions locally and an abundance of shops, pubs and restaurants, guests will find this an excellent base. A short drive will take you to the neighbouring villages of Ambleside and Grasmere which are set in the heart of Wordsworth country, or a ferry trip across the lake to Sawrey is Hill Top, the home of Beatrix Potter.
