The location is excellent for exploring this popular area, with walking, fossil hunting and fishing all available locally, the area is also home to the River Cottage HQ. Nearby is the Golden Cap with panoramic views over Lyme Bay from the top.

The sandy beach and harbour of West Bay are close by, as well as the beginning of the famous Chesil Beach. Within a short drive are Mapperton Gardens, Forde Abbey and the Abbotsbury Swannery, which all make wonderful days out.
