Surrounded by open countryside and over looking a trout lake it enjoys views towards Scafell Pike and Old Man of Coniston. The South Lakes Wild Animal Park is nearby, also the beach and sandhills of Sandscale Haws (NT). Coniston Water and Windermere are within 14 miles. The Aquarium of the Lakes and the Haverthwaite Steam Railway also nearby the lovely Duddon Valley makes an excellent day out, as does Muncaster Castle and gardens. Shop and pub 11/2 miles.
