The village is located on the Coast to Coast route and the River Ehen meanders nearby with lovely riverside walks. A 2 mile stroll will bring guests to the beautiful Ennerdale Water, where an easy 7 mile circuit round the lake makes an excellent day out with plenty of picnic spots. Many famous Lake district peaks are a short drive away for those seeking more energetic pursuits, and Wastwater; voted Britain’s Best View in 2007, is a 9 mile drive. Shop 4 miles, pub/restaurant 50 yards.
