Boasting good walking on the Pennine Way just 100 yards from the door. Fishing locally, as well as climbing and bird watching, there is plenty to enjoy in the immediate area. With an RSPB reserve and an SSSI both nearby, at Talkin Tarn, 6 miles, there is boating, fishing, sail boarding and a nature trail. A fine base for the Eden Valley, Lake District and Borders and for exploring Carlisle and Hadrian’s Wall. Shop and pub 3 miles.
