A few minutes walk from the cottage takes you along the dramatic sweeping drive approaching Longleat House and the lake, which is open all year. The Safari Park and other attractions are open in season, and there are many footpaths and walks around the Estate and the village. Nearby market towns of Frome and Warminster provide a good choice of shops and amenities. Other attractions in the surrounding area include Bath, Salisbury, Wells, Stourhead, Cheddar and Stonehenge.
