Part of a 16th-century farm barn complex, Stable Cottage lies on the owners’ farm, in the village of Nottington, near to the spa house frequented by George III - who made Weymouth so popular. Attached to the owner’s farmhouse, it is comfortably furnished and equipped to provide a cosy base for year-round family holidays. Set in a conservation area, with herons nesting and nature reserves nearby, and the River Wey running through it; there are also pet sheep, chickens, Jersey cows and ponies. Weymouth promenade and beach 2½ miles. Dorchester 5 miles. Pleasant walking locally. Shop 1½ miles, pub 2 miles.
