It retains many features including stone flag floors, exposed walls and beams and is furnished and decorated to a very good standard with numerous objects in keeping with its character. Penrith is a lovely market town with nice shops, lots of restaurants and scenic walks to enjoy. Ullswater is 6 miles and the Roman Wall is 30 miles. The lakes offer great watersports, horse riding, paragliding, golf, tennis and bowls.

An ideal location for visiting the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and Northumberland.
