The views from the property present excellent opportunities to photograph some spectacular sunsets. The area has many local walks to suit all abilities, while a short drive will take you to either the West Cumbrian Coast, the Yorkshire Dales or the heart of the Lake District. Attractions in the immediate area include Levens Hall, with its world famous topiary gardens and Sizebgh Castle.
