The hamlet of Membland is in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, half a mile from the Yealm estuary and the twin villages of Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo, renowned for their excellent sailing and friendly pubs. One of the most beautiful stretches of the South Devon Coastal Footpath, managed by the National Trust, is a 5-minute walk away, and the holiday house is close to unspoilt sandy beaches. The Dovecote forms the central section of the south-facing wing of an 18th-century listed stable. The front rooms of the house overlook the mature, peaceful garden, and the view from the rooms at the rear is of the cobbled stable yard. Dartmouth, Salcombe and Plymouth are within 30 minutes’ drive. Shops 1 mile.
Internal stone staircase leads to large, comfortable living/dining room, close-carpeted. Well-equipped kitchen. Bathroom with toilet. Carpeted stairs to two bedrooms; one double and one twin, with rugs on polished wooden floors. Store room.
