This is a modern conversion of a 17th-century hayloft in a courtyard of honey-coloured Cotswold stone buildings. The original stone steps lead to the first floor accommodation which is extremely bright and spacious. The living room opens onto a balcony with views of the Windrush Valley and steps lead down to the pretty self contained garden. Ford, in the north Cotswold AONB, is an ideal base from which to explore the area on foot, by car or bicycle. The picturesque villages of Snowshill and Broadway, and the towns of Stow-on-the-Wold, Winchcombe and Moreton-in-Marsh (with direct train link to London) are within 15 mins’ drive. Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath and Oxford may all be visited in a day as can several NT houses, gardens. The Plough Inn at Ford is a 2-min stroll away.
