This area has many country and coastal walks, the start of the Cumbria Way. Bardsea and Askam beach are nearby, as is Dalton Zoo and the Dock Museum in Barrow. There is picturesque countryside around the Duddon Valley, with rail links nearby, and a selection of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Close to the lakes, Grange-over-Sands, Cartmel and Kendal. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
