This beautifully refurbished holiday cottage is part of the former Georgian Gentleman’s Residence, right in the heart of Ulverston, boasting a historical past, with the Sir John Barrow’s monument on Hoad Hill, and being the birthplace of Stan Laurel. This area has many country and coastal walks, the start of the Cumbria Way. Bardsea and Askam beach are nearby, as is Dalton Zoo and the Dock Museum in Barrow. There is picturesque countryside around the Duddon Valley, with rail links nearby, and a selection of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Close to the lakes, Grange-over-Sands, Cartmel and Kendal. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
