Dent

Set by the river Dee, the village of Dent offers excellent choice of accommodation and a fascinating Heritage Centre to visit.

Three pubs and two cafes can be found in the centre providing food for visitors and walker. The car park is run by Dent Parish Counciland costs: 2 hours £1.20 All Day £4.50 As possibly one of the finest of the Cumbrian Dales, a valley full of beauty and historic interest. It is a farming community, with scattered homesteads, each sharing the fell and valley floor, owing much to the settlement patterns of the Vikings who came here in the 10th century.
