The village of Ingleton is surrounded by magnificent countryside with caves, waterfalls, and mountains. The Craven Fault crosses the region, and geological and archaeological sites cover the outying area.
Often visited for the local caves, and a variety of tours are available, favourite walks are The Ingleton Waterfalls Trail and the climb up Ingleborough which is one of the famous Three Peaks.
There are a wide variety of shops and eating places in Ingleton. Narrow, winding village streets, centred on the market place, and neat terraces of cottages sit in the shadow of the viaduct.
On the third Saturday in July, Ingleton Gala takes place with wonderful floats and spectacular displays.
