For those who were raised in the city, living in the mountains may not be such a bad idea. Although some may find it boring, too quiet, cold usually wet and windy, if you have longed for serene and peaceful vacations, deprived of the hustle and bustle of the city, deadlines, honking cars and noisy neighbors, the mountains is a wonderful place to stay.

Dwelling in the mountains doesn’t necessarily mean living without neighbors, no community and not a lot of friends. Honestly, there are a lot of mountain neighborhoods like this but there are also mountain areas that have that sense of community without losing the sense of seclusion. There are those that have a lot of people in the area too. You just have to choose the right area with the right real estate agencies. Developed mountain areas with downtown shops and groceries are not new these days.

Being able to enjoy nature anytime anywhere is also a great advantage. You can garden, go fishing, build tree houses, chop wood for the fire place, and hang out in enchanted looking creeks.

These secluded areas are quiet, calm and very relaxing. Not to mention the picturesque views and fresh air would surely make you want to not go back. Mountain air is also said to be therapeutic especially to those with respiratory or breathing problems like asthma. That is why if you don’t really want to stay there for good it is a great option to pack your camping gear, hiking backpacks, camping accessories and sleeping bags and start to savor the beauty and natural advantages of the mountains. If you find outdoor camping too tedious you can always rent a room in a lodge, go for cabins or book on a mountain hotel. There are many ways to enjoy the mountains.
