That is why the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust is to be commended for its excellent performance in planting one million trees – a holding which was duly celebrated yesterday.
A large company, it is one of more than 600 projects that have been made by the body to improve the Dales, and complement the work of the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority because he comes to terms with its budget cuts.
In many ways, this tree planting initiative will provide visible evidence of the Big Club Action – volunteers will meet to preserve the rural heritage of Yorkshire. They do not require a political call to arms for the fact they have done is because the deep-rooted sense of duty.
